Mind-Body medicine focuses on the interactions between mind and body and the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social and spiritual factors can directly affect health. Dr. Brandeis implements several mind-body techniques including meditation, guided imagery, mindful eating, biofeedback, journals, hypnotherapy, and movement to express thoughts and feelings. These techniques have demonstrated to help lower blood pressure, stress hormone levels, improving the immune function, and pain relief. It is also known to help improve clinical conditions such as HIV, cancer, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder.
